It is the "location, location, location" within walking distance to "Central Park, Carnegie Hall, Times Square, Fifth Avenue shopping" and the subway that sells this otherwise "average" Midtown spot; though rooms are "spacious" enough with flat-screen TVs, there are signs ("peeling wallpaper" and "broken" fixtures) that it needs "updating", the staff "looks unhappy" and the combination of "tourist crowds" and walls with "no soundproofing whatsoever" mean lightsleepers aren't getting much shut-eye.

I liked the price, the cleanliness and the nice -sized rooms. Location was superb.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a good bargain in a central NY location. The room was perfect, plenty of space for a 5 day stay. The lobby was busy but to get to the elevators you could bypass it. The bar staff as well as the reception staff was friendly and helpful. We'd stay there again for sure. ...read more

I was glad that the room was renovated just like in the photos showed on the Priceline website.

It would be nicer if they had a glass door instead of a shower curtain in the bathroom. It would also be very nice having a hand sanitizer available.

The lobby, the room, it was all renovated and beautiful. If you had stayed there before the renovation, keep in mind that it is a completely different experience. I will certainly stay there again.

They happily provided bag storage before I was able to check in..

Hallways were a little dark.

Overall, it was a pretty nice hotel. It wasn't the best but nice enough. Room could have been brighter. Dim lighting worked very well in hotel lobby and restaurants for ambiance.
